605-2000 & 605-2020 SERIES SPECULUM INFORMATION
Our new 605-2020 series speculum has interchangeable
inserts for the rack and ratchet. The rack is the notched lower bar and the ratchet has
a dovetailed insert on the lower release lever. The replacement parts are reversible when
they become worn and are machined from tool grade stainless steel, then hardened. If you
have a 605-2000 series speculum, World Wide Equine can convert it to the new style 605-2020
speculum with inserts for $400.00.
Both 2000 series speculums are cast from tool grade stainless
steel, then hardened. They have an arched frame, eliminating frame interference to the mouth when
using today's power equipment and advanced dental instruments. They come fully hand polished to a
mirror finish.
One of the outstanding features of these speculums is when opened
the increments of adjustments have increased from the normal three clicks of most ratchet
style speculums, to fifteen increments or clicks. The front actuated release levers offer safer
operation and enhanced performance.
Both 2000 series speculums have longer lasting leaf springs, and wider
tooth plates which fit pony to draft size horses. Extra wide tooth plates are available. The clevis joints
for the tooth plates make this speculum strong and secure allowing for longer life and quality service.
The straps are made from grade “A” strap leather with grade “A” latigo
leather backing. The double leather is stitched and comes with adjustable roller buckles and keepers on
both sides. The roller buckles allow for ease of application. The 36” poll strap will fit regular to large
size horses. Those of you working on draft horses will want to order an additional 48” poll strap.
We believe this is the finest full mouth speculum
made anywhere in the world today. We think it is so good we ask you to

POLYURETHANE STAINLESS STEEL DOUBLE JEFFREY MOUTH GAG
Incisor work may be performed more easily by doubling
the Poly Jeffrey Gag. One gag is used for each arcade while they are held
in place with a strap over the poll. By using two gags excessive unbalanced
pressure upon the TMJ is kept to a minimum. Horses are much more receptive
to incisor work given the even amount of pressure throughout the jaw and
head. This set of double gags comes with an off cheek hook enabling the
use of one at a time, if needed. |
